Hotel Izukyu is a hot spring resort located in the southern area of Izu Peninsula, one of Japan's most outstandingly warm regions.
The hotel invites you to a world of delicious seafood, relaxing hot springs and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, all just 2 hours 40 minutes or so from Tokyo by train. (The nearest station to the hotel is Izukyu-Shimoda.)
The hotel's hot springs draw their waters from two kinds of source. Take your time as you enjoy weakly alkaline sulfate spring water in "Ryujin no Yu", and the simple hot spring "Rendaiji no Yu", whose waters come from Shimoda Rendaiji.
For an open-air bath experience there is "Ryujin no Yu", whose waters spring forth within the grounds of the hotel itself, and then for a wallow in a large bath, there is "Rendaiji no Yu". Enjoy the beneficial effects of two hot springs.
Opening hours: 15:00 to 24:00 / 5:00 to 10:00
Ryujin no Yu（open-air bath）
A spacious open-air bath the hotel is rightly proud of.
The waters of the hot spring gush forth within the grounds of the hotel itself, and can be traced backed a source in the Izu Amagi Mountain Range.
We have named this hot spring "Ryujin no Yu", and have used it to create an open-air bath which lays the sea of Shirahama right before your very eyes.
The famous stones of "Iwakura" have been quietly regarding creation from within the waters for eons, and tell of things beyond time itself. The spirit of the distant past will envelop you as you slowly soak your body, letting the waters do their wondrous work as you gently unravel to your very soul.
Rendaiji no Yu（large bath）
The source for the large bath is Shimoda Rendaiji Hot Spring. A jacuzzi has been incorporated into one of the bathtubs. Helping you feel clean is a top priority, and we have divided the place where you wash into individual sections so you can enjoy your own relaxing space.
